Those "folders" aren't really folders, they're filters to help you navigate a little easier. I'm not aware of a way to hide them, so in turn I'd just use your web browser to navigate to the plex server and use plex that way.

in theory. They are making it harder in fact.

the problem is that I didn't find the app for my tv and I have to go through all those folders to find a movie

Assuming your TV is connected via wireless, when you're using Plex you don't get the option to cast to it? It may be worth your while to get a Chromecast. I think you can get a  chromecast or a roku for $25? Opens up a whole world (minus amazon video).

The tv doesn't show up when I click on the cast option. That doesn't happen with the youtube app for example

What TV do you have?

Basically, these are DLNA filters, not folders, as mentioned above. You should ideally be using the actual Plex App to watch content from Plex.

You could also use Kodi as the player, which can connect to Plex (there's even a Plex Add-on now).

But ultimately it comes down to what apps your TV supports.

For Sale: Meraki Bundle

According to the specs, your TV runs webOS 3.5.

According to Plex, there should be an app for webOS 3.5 TV's:

https://support.plex.tv/articles/204080173-which-smart-tv-models-are-supported/

I would check again for the Plex app, as that would solve your problem. Also check if Kodi is available.

I've checked lg content store and it isn't there. Maybe the app is region locked or something. Is there another way to install it?

@IgorM See if you can update your WebOS, maybe you're on version 3.0?

Oh that's a good suggestion. Checking for new firmware and OS updates is a good idea.
