either net wire?

Hi I am confused in which wire to buy for my home use. I have a power line and need a wire for it to connect to my pc to the power line. Can I ask which wire do i need to buy? What cat cable do i need to buy?

Its an ethernet cable, and you can just get a Cat 6 cable. I have a 100ft. one running from my basement to my router upstairs just along the ground. If you want to do anything like drill holes into the wall to pass it through or hang it from the celling for cable management that's up to you, I just run my along the ground.
