I think I might have made a big mistake ??‍♂️

One day ago I purchased the gtx 1050 for $90 on eBay But while searching online I’m seeing people say that the 1050i blows this out the water. I hope I didn’t waste my money....... I just want to play games like Siege, overwatch and PUBG.

If you play at 1080p you should be fine :) Yes the 1050 Ti is more powerful (not by a lot however), but also more expensive :)

Please mention or quote me if you want a response. :)

It's pretty good for $90 given current prices.

What kind of PC are you throwing it into though?

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

1050ti would cost you about $50 more.

1050 is OK card for gaming at 1080p Medium.

$90 is a really good price. That same card is currently listed at $170 on Newegg. https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA2F853V0469&cm_re=gtx_1050_evga-_-14-487-297-_-Product

I'm guessing it was a used card? Even if you bought it used it's still a decent price.
If you were looking at buying a GTX 1050ti new, the prices are around $170-$230. Taking in to consideration the price that you bought it for, I'd say you got a good deal. The 1050ti does perform a lot better than the 1050, but not to the point where it would be worth an extra $100+.

CPU: Intel i7 6700k  | Motherboard: Gigabyte Z170x Gaming 5 | RAM: 2x16GB 3000MHz Corsair Vengeance LPX | GPU: Gigabyte Aorus GTX 1080ti | PSU: Corsair RM750x (2018) | Case: BeQuiet SilentBase 800 | Cooler: Arctic Freezer 34 eSports | SSD: Samsung 970 Evo 500GB + Samsung 840 500GB + Crucial MX500 2TB | Monitor: Acer Predator XB271HU + Samsung BX2450

1050tis are still overpriced in the US at least, $170+ for decent ones looks like.

RX 570s/580s are near $200, easily the better choice vs a 1050ti still.

Thanks for the responses, I’m putting the card in a pre built PC because I’m tired of gaming on my Xbox. Fallout 4 got stuck in the cd drive..... I’ve had enough of playing on console.

It has a first gen I7 in it with 4gb of ddr3 ram I could upgrade it to 16 by max.

The cpu socket Type is LGA1156
