If you look at this review, the performance difference in workloads is generally nothing, unless you're doing something that relies on ONLY one core.

And if you're gonna OC anyways (which I'm assuming you are, with the expensive mobo and cooler), then it makes even less sense IMO.
That's why
With SATA connectors, it's kind of weird. While yes, there are only 5 Peripheral/SATA connectors on the PSU itself, the cables are a bit different. One SATA power cable plugs into one of those 6 pin ports, but has 3 SATA power connectors that can plug into drives on the end.
Kind of like this. One end goes into a molex connector. Four SATA power connectors on the other side.
so I need at least 4.5GHz on at least 3 cores, so with the i7-8700K I could easily reach that? I never overclocked before.
with one 6 Pin SATA, I can connect several SATA drives to it?
