If you have any questions on G Sync post below and ill try to answer them. :)

Disclaimer: G-Sync does NOT fix Battlefield 4 issues.

Lol true but it does make the crappy framerate baring.

Was it hard to modify the monitor?

Nope very easy! Just double check all your cording and dont pull cords by the wiring and you should be all set. Really all your doing is switching the internal mobo to a new g sync one. and all you have to do in pull out 2 cords from the old board plus the light boost and audio and some blue cord idk and put in the new mobo and plug in all four back into the new board excluding audio :)

How much better is BF4 with GSync?

Smoother! But BF4 is not optimized so it really is crap. G Sync just makes it bearable and smoother.

so what is g-syncs main task, to pace out the gpu's outputted frames/images to a point where all frames seen by the user and not dropped or changed in anyway?

basically yes.

basically yes.

then unless there is some kind of patent, then i dont think it would be too hard to make something like that, thats integrated into the monitor. couldnt something be done where the gpu is limited to an output of 60/59Hz or whatever frequency is needed

Just a guy with a beard

That module is that thing the limits the monitor. Listen would you rather have your GPU which outputs frames take control of your monitor or your monitor that just displays frames take control of your GPU?

I would want my GPU to control my Monitor!
