Question about network speeds

It means you got a 1Gbps pipe going to your home. This speed is shared with all devices. But as @Alex Atkin UK pointed out, not all servers will provide you with 1 Gbps. So speeds will vary. Also keep in mind depending on what kind of internet you have access to and how quality your ISP is, you may only get "UP TO" those speeds. For example, Comcast my ISP from what I have read has 10 Gbps shared at the node, meaning about 128 People are using 10 Gbps. While they offer 1 Gbps speed tier, if your using the connection during prime time, you might never see that speed.
