ipad restore error 4013

hello,

 

i've been asked to fix an ipad that's on the connect to itunes screen upon bootup. 

 

i keep getting error 4013 when i try to restore it. 

 

things i've tried:

- different cable

- using different computers (an imac and my macbook) to restore it

Put it in DFU mode and try restoring it again. The device will be wiped anyhow.

Which iPad model is it? If it's too old, you can't restore it with the current version of iTunes.

You've probably already found this article, but yeah, these are the only possible steps before you'll need to contact Apple (which basically means the internal flash is fucked).

yes i've seen that one. so if none of that worked it's not fixable?

Basically. There's likely a problem with the storage.

i just tried it on a Windows machine but i got the same error.
