--First time using Linux--

It shows the Linux Mint logo and it says: Automatic boot in 10 seconds and after 10 seconds it gives me this error

/casper/vmlinuz failed: No such file or directory

You need to load the linux kernel first

I used Rufus to make the bootable USB

Image is corrupted. Redownload and retry. When Rufus asks you, use ISO mode to write and not DD.

You can also use etcher which is a fabulous and simple USB creator that never has fail on me once. Linuxusb creator, unebootin, or Rufus had all failed on me once or twice depending on the distro, but never etcher.
