2000€ Build for Gaming, Programming / Streaming

Hey,

In near future i want to build my rig for 2000€ (2300$), which is supposed to be future proof. I want it for gaming, streaming and programming. The programming part is very important, since it's my job and i'm working from home, so i need as stable system as it can be. Also i didn't want to spend much money in future, to be up2date, since i'm buying new computers every 2 years, but i want this one at least for 3-4 yers. So it's supposed to be working at least 3-4 years. Here are the parts i've picked for it. Any suggestion are appreciated!

CPU: Intel Core i5 8600k
MOBO: Asus ROG Strix Z370-G Gaming
COOLING: NZXT Kraken X62
RAM: 24GB Kingston CL15 2400MHz (2x 8GB, 2x 4GB)
GPU: ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Blower
Storage SSD: Samsung 970 EVO 250GB (M2)
Storage HDD: Seagate BarraCuda 2TB 256MB Cache 7200RPM
PSU: EVGA 650 G3 (80 Plus Gold)
CASE: Phanteks - Enthoo Evolv TG (Silver)

------------------------------
PC Part Picker List Here
------------------------------

I have all the peripherals, so only thing i need is a computer itself. Also 2000€ (2300$) Is the Maximum Price i want to pay. Thanks!

6c/6t CPU hmm. What are your needs in terms of programming? Many cores? Many threats? Or doesn't matter because it's java and locks up your system anyway ... ? :-)

Welcome to the forum!

I'd go for some good quiet quality fans like Noctua. If you're going to be working on it I would make it as quiet or silent even.

I recommend getting an i7 8700k and a non blower style GPU. You will need more than 6 threads for programming and streaming anyways.

@ItsTheDuckAgain I'm WebDeveloper, so some docker containers will run constantly. Also i really enjoying to do C# as well. :)
@Supportsneedlove You mean noctua fans on top of the radiator on water cooling system, or throw away this water cooling system and take Noctua CPU fan itself?

I was thinking about this. Which GPU do you recommend? @The_Tron

BTW you don't need an aio. Even for an i7 8700k a good tower coooler from Noctua or something will do the same cooling performance as an aio but with a lower price. There even is an LTT video comparing air coolers and aio coolers.

Neither, it meant the case fans.

Any 1080ti (but not blower style) will suit you. I'd recommend one from Asus or evga as they perform good and won't cause problems with any colour schemes as they're both mostly black or shades of black. Though personally I'd pick the ROG STRIX 1080ti with 3 fans.

Blower style GPUs are good only for SFF cases where the graphics card doesn't get much breathing room. For a case like yours it's way better to get a non blower style graphics card.

More optimized build for your usecase. Choose the cooling solution and case you want. The current case is mostly a placeholder. The stock cooling solution is good enough but if you want something else then that is fine

I'm not heavy intel fanboy, but i was always on intel since i've got first computer. So it's not a issue for me to take AMD.

Goldenlags solution works well if you plan on going the AMD route.

It works well esoecially for his usecase. Gaming, streaming and programming. The 8600k is nice, but 6 threads is not enough for streaming.

The 8 cores and 16 threads will help along nicely.

And if he really wants he can slot in a new CPU 2 years from now into the the same mobo

Yeah if you don't have a problem with AMD then go with GoldenLags build. The higher core/thread count will really help.

I would try to get 3000/3200mhz memmory.

The gtx 1080ti isnt a specific 1080ti, just grab the cheapest one that has more than 1 fan.

What country are you in? I might be able to adjust in pcp.

You dont nessecarly need a cooler, but if you want one you can grab one (the stocl gets a bit noisy under load)

GPU price seems. A bit inflated.

The gpu above if you want the 1080ti

If you want to save a bit grab the 1080 below

For ram it is just the cheapest 3000/3200mhz kit you can find

@TheMartes it is hard for me to find the correct ram, therefore you will have to locate 3000/3200mhz ram yourself

I've found those https://www.alza.sk/EN/adata-xpg-gammix-d10-ddr4-memory-module-32gb-3000mhz-cl16-red-d5118748.htm?layoutAutoChange=1

you can adjust language in top right corner @GoldenLag

Youve found the last component yourself, so that wont be neccesary.

I dont have anything else to pick with the build so. Happy building i guess
