Hello everyone!

I got a pc with an Intel desktopboard with an i5 650 for free, it only has one problem, when booting into any kind of os (Windows, linux, android, freedos) it shuts off. I’ve tried swapping everything from psu to hdd / usb flash drive. I am curious to know what’s going on (-:

Hmm I can’t select where to post it (it’s posted in website and stuff) can someone remove it?

Does it start to load your OS at all?

Yes it does

And it'll suddenly just stop?

No explanation, nothing?

What version of Windows are you trying?

Have you tried running MemTest86?

Are you able to try a different CPU and/or motherboard?

Thank for fixing? But I can’t try MemTest86.. I don’t have another cpu or motherboard lying around. But what’s the weirdest thing about it that it stays powered on in the bios..

Does the system itself shut off?

Have you tried different SATA ports and cables? Also SATA power connectors on the PSU

Might be a memory error, if there's more than 1 stick try with one at a time. When it loads in memory (a possible defective stick) it might cause a shut down.

I've tried multiple sticks... But i mean it shuts down when "booting" memtest..

I think i’ve found something, the bios said that the cpu is only getting 9°C and the 12 line is only 5.8volts. (I tried more psu’s btw)
