Some good kid safe lava lights???

Edward78

My niece & nephew seem to like lava lights, so some for a gift seem to be a good idea... Are there any kid safe ones that aren't way more than a reg. one???

well there are alternatives to lava lamps that basically fall under the "colorful lights" category

But a lava lamp HAS to get HOT to work. So they inherently aren't 100% kid friendly.

I had a lava light as a kid and would put lego people on top of it and watch them melt. lol

That's a good point... I think they would love them, hmmm, how to keep them safe??? Sit them out of reach maybe...

oh jeez I thought they were much older lol. wait till they are like 9 or 10 and have hurt themselves a lot.

A 6 and 4 year older don't know the "don't run around the house , you'll knock over a hot glass lamp and burn yourself" thing yet.

Theres no such thing as out of reach. You just make it more likely to break and hurt them if you put it "out of reach".
