How can I get Android working again?

kelvinhall05

TL;DR: I tried flashing LineageOS, didn't work, also wiped TWRP for some reason, reinstalled TWRP, restored with the backup I made of my phone before I installed LineageOS, it restores just fine, but now it's stuck on the Android One loading screen and won't do anything.

I think the issue is that the backup is encrypted, but I don't know where and how to decrypt it. I know the password, but I'm used to TWRP prompting me to put one in before I can mess around in there (probably an irrelevant detail, but I'll include it nonetheless). How do I decrypt it? I really, really need help, as I need my phone in a few days (well, I kinda need it today, but not as urgently :P). It's a Xiaomi Mi A1. Thanks!

EDIT: At this point, I don't care if I can get my stuff back, since I should have a Google cloud save, but I just really want to be able to use my phone again...

EDIT 2: Never mind, I think I fixed it. I did some digging and found a stock ROM, flashed that, and it appears to be working so far...

I can't say I've ever had the same problem but I think it lies with the fact that the encryption key got cleared off of the device when you reinstalled the OS.

Yeah, that's exactly what I think, but do you know of any way to get that back?

This kind of thing isn't really my bag, but I hope that someone else can help you. :(
