So previously I did an overclock of my memory and set it to 3200mhz which was the maximum clock I could achieve at 1.45v DRAM 1.0v SoC, and many people online said I should tighten the timings to stabilize the clock and might as well achieve a little bit higher, but now when I take a look at the timing table, there are just a lot of values to put and I don't know about every one of them.

When I set the CAS Latency to 14, trcdcd trcdwr 18 and DRAM RAS pre and act time to 19, I couldn't past post (I didn't know what I was doing lol).

Please let me know how I'm supposed to configure these values to stabilize CL14 or CL15?5b8415cfac04a_WhatsAppImage2018-08-27at2_49_05AM.jpeg.553fdd381e9603f7e7772bb3d9feb756.jpeg sticks are g,skill trizentZ F4-3000C16S]

First thing -- set SOC to 1.1V when overclocking your RAM. You might be able to tune it down from there, but for the most part it's the sweet spot.

As far as your timings go use the Ryzen DRAM Calculator:

https://www.overclock.net/forum/13-amd-general/1640919-ryzen-dram-calculator-1-1-0-beta-2-overclocking-dram-am4.html

Very helpful.

Edit:

Which monitor is that? Dem bezels tho

Very helpful.

I already set the soc to 1.1v and was thinking if the VDDR voltage should be touched to stabilize the controller more.

And thanks for the link, it seems helpful but the settings look to be optimized for specifically B-Die chips, which I don't think my stick has.

Oh no you can select Hynix and Micron. Use Thaiphoon Burner to read your RAM modules to find out which they are.

@PatXioPC If you want to send me your export from Thaiphoon Burner I will plug it into the Calculator and send you the results. And hopefully you can get the Calculator working. Go post in that thread -- 1usmus is active and always very helpful.

Hmmm. That might be your problem right there. I can't get that to open in the Calculator. You might need to create another export file from Thaiphoon.

@PatXioPC I posted some screenshots earlier I have since removed. I mistakenly thought something you posted earlier were values for your RAM and have since realized they are not.

CL 14 might not work -- again, doesn't hurt to try, though.

Reason being, G.Skill already bins their ICs for DDR4-3000 and 3200 14-14-14-34 1.35V.

https://www.gskill.com/en/finder?cat=31&prop_2=0&prop_6=0&prop_4=14-14-14-34&series=2860&prop_14=DDR4&prop_3=3000MHz

Just for a starting ground, have you tried some of the common timings for 3200?

  • G.Skill has a TridentZ kit rated for 15-15-15-35
  • Corsair has a LPX kit rated for 15-17-17-35

@nick name thanks so much man for letting me know about that calculator.

But what kind of exporting format do you use to import? When I manually typed in my current timing values, the 'fast' result showed CL11 which is kinda weird?
