DOOM fps

Hello everyone

 

I just bought doom and i can't help but be dissapointed in the performance im getting. Alot of people online that have the same GPU as me can easily play high or ultra at 1080p with 60fps average but im playing at medium-low at 1080p with around 40 fps. When there are open areas or some monsters it dips to 30-40 but when im looking at a wall or something it goes to 90 or 120. Does anyone know how to resolve this?

 

My pc:

CPU: i5 4460

RAM: 8gb ddr3 2133mhz

GPU: r9 380 2gb

 

Temperatures are not the issue since my gpu is idle at 65C and goes to 71C on full load...

Use Vulkan instead of OpenGL.
