The journey of my first build

Marfe

Back in Aug 2017 I decided to build my first PC. I don't care about aesthetics. I just wanted to play games.

CPU: Ryzen 5 1600

Motherboard: MSI B350M Bazooka

GPU: MSI GTX 1060 3GB Aero ITX OC

Ram: Corsair LPX 2x8GB 3000mhz DDR4

PSU: Antec Neo Eco 650W 80+ Bronze

Storage:

• Samsung 850 Evo 250GB (Boot Drive)

• Western Digital Blue 1TB (Anything Library)

Case: Silencio 352 (mATX Form Factor)

And it ended up like this

After a few months of watching PC Builds on youtube (specially this one) I decided to change my case to have a windowed side panel so I decided to buy a MasterBox 5 White. I also bought a cheap RGB Strip with controller to light up my case.

After a few weeks I decided to buy some white PSU extention to remove the hideous ketchup and mustard cable that my PSU has.

A few months ago I decided to paint the PSU shroud and hard drive bay white to match the case.

Last week I was in Akihabara and I bought an X72 for a really good price (It was the same price with the X62 so I picked the X72). I also bought NZXT Hue+, AER RGB fans.

Then I decided to buy some acrylic sheet to change the side panel of my case (I know it is already a windowed side panel but I think the borders of the side panel of the MasterBox 5 is too thick) I also made an extention of the PSU shroud to cover the hard drive bay.

All of those things installed and it ended up like this. (Background noise was my air conditioner)

I know the white cable for the AIO is ugly but it will do for now. I can't find some braided sleeving to cover the AIO tubing and the CableMod AIO Sleeving kit on amazon here in Japan is very expensive.

EDIT:

I sent an email to Support@CableMod.com they just said that I should just buy directly to them, but the sleeving + shipping will cost $50. So I sent an inquiry in Amazon JP to CableMod JP and they said that they will look into it. After a few days they sent me an email that the white AIO sleeving is now posted on Amazon JP for about $22 (Free shipping). I ordered 2 days ago and it arrived now.

Looks freakin good IMO

Mate that thing is amazing. I really wanna do some modding of my own but buying cable extensions will probably need top wait until after a GPU and SSD upgrade. Do you think the way you did the extension to the PSU Shroud could be extended to do a full length shroud (My case doesn't have one) and if so what did you use to make it?

I bought a big ass acrylic sheet (3mmx600mmx900mm) at our local hardware store for my side panel and the dimensions of my side panel is only around 500mmx600mm so i have a lot of extra acrylic sheet. I used the acrylic sheet to extend my PSU shroud. But you need a heat gun to bend the acrylic sheet.

Just measure the dimension of the case PSU and hard drive bay then buy the size that's enough for the PSU and HDD bay.
