[HELP] - I got scammed... probably?

Good morning guys,

I have a question for you... I just finished watching Linus' video on the ebay scam of the xeon processors...

I think it might have happened to me too then because I today installed CPU-z on my machine which I believed I bought two E5-4650s for but it turns out that in truth I have a 4650 and a 2680... same basic specs and apparently they can work with each other but I can now maybe relate to this mismatch for the ram incompatibility maybe...

But the question is, is there a way to like tell the contact from ebay even it's like half a year ago I bought these things that he sold me something not right?

I am pretty sure paypal dispute is 180 days but your credit card company might be longer and could do a charge back and get your money back.

in regards to getting a return after this long, I wouldn't hold your breath. However, I would definitely let them know what happened so they can take action to block that person

If I were to guess, he might've ordered a cheap Xeon overseas and it probably took a while to get to him.

No actually it was pretty fast to come but it says INTEL CONFIDETIAL on it and being always away for work I rarely get to play around with things and in the bios I cannot see the particular model of the cpus but in CPU-Z I could and the rest you know... xD
