This is fine, you should start worrying if it hits 95+.

Id never let my card run that hot, would be heard for me to let the get there too.

Mid 70c is where I call it too hot. Id adjust the fan profile on the card/case.

Depends on the cooler design. The Founders Edition and the basic blower cards all run around the low to mid 80s and that's fine for those cards. 100% fan speed is not an option, I assure you :P

Well my 1080s don't touch 80c with blowers. Also cant run a pair of open air cooler as the temps would be the same unless I run case fans much higher.

Sounds like a cool room or high airflow situation. That's still exceptional for temps on those cards. I prefer noise over temps myself, so I couldn't give a rat's ass whether it runs 80+ or not lol.

That's the whole thing, I prefer both. Especially if the card can run at 2000hz compared to 1860 because of horrible steps with stock bios and high temps.

A 1070 shouldn't have an issue with either cooler unless the case is bad.

Yep. It won't hurt the card. There's nothing you can do about it anyway if you don't want a wind tunnel or simply higher expenses to modify your cooling setup.

Heat kills so the hotter the card, the shorter the life expectancy, longevity and an increase chance of failure

Although the cards can run at 83c, for a zotac card and not a reference/blower you should turn up the fan curve like what other ppl say, custom fan curve in afterburner
