PS2 harddrive not working

i have a ST3120022A and its just not working, i have a FMCB card already and my harddrive doesnt seem to be picked up by it, it just gives an error.

What error? screenshot?

it is a IDE harddrive inside my PS2, i dont know if i spins up because the PS2 fans are loud af, and the error is 401 when using OPL2

If this is a old ps2 its probably way too new of a drive and not supported.

Check if the Drive is OK and not dead.

 

And also check if there are special measurements for the drive to be recognized, what filesystem it has to have.
