Noctuas one are hideous looking tho lol.

On my main rig I went with the Chromax Noctuas, with red tips to match the rest of my build.

Spec-wise they're pretty much the same as the poop-brown ones, but better looking and more gamer-oriented.

I have no experience with the latest generation of BeQuiet fans, only the older SilentWings 2 which tended to be a pain to install in some cases.  It looks like they improved their mounting mechanism for the SilentWings 3, so that may no longer be an issue.

Two possibilities:

3 x 120intake fans in front, 1 x 120 exhaust at the back and 1 x 120 at the top

OR

3 x120 intake fans in front, 1 x 120 exhaust at the back

Which one is the better choice here? I prefer cooler temperatures for both CPU and GPU.

Case: Fractal Meshify C (it has 2x120 opening at the top)

CPU: AMD RYZEN 2700X

GPU: Nvidia 1060 GTX 6GB

I doubt there will be much of a difference between the two. I'd stick with the second option. (3 intake, 1 exhaust)

If the Meshify C has the solid top insert, I'd just put that in to help reduce any excess noise.

Specs: CPU - Intel i7 8700K @ 5GHz | GPU - Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Gaming | Motherboard - ASUS Strix Z370-G WIFI AC | RAM - XPG Gammix DDR4-3000MHz 32GB (2x16GB) | Main Drive - Samsung 850 Evo 500GB M.2 | Other Drives - 7TB/3 Drives | CPU Cooler - Corsair H100i Pro | Case - Fractal Design Define C Mini TG | Power Supply - EVGA G3 850W

It does not, mesh filter only. I believe a define C cover would fit but I'm not 100% sure

Going for 3x 120mm will result in the lowest front fan blowing half of its air into the PSU shroud rather than the inside of the case.

On my own Define C (same chassis, more restrictive front panel) I went for dual 140mm in the front and a 120mm exhaust in the back, with the top panel still on.  Looks a lot cleaner due to being able to keep the shroud's panel closed and the fans are positioned perfectly for the internals.

Sorry for the dark pic, I really should take some daytime pics sometime soon.

That's an i5-2500@4.1 and a 1060 3GB.

Temps for this setup never exceed 50°C on the CPU and low 60s on the GPU.  the Ryzen will probably run a little hotter, but a Meshify C should be able to handle that just fine.

Then what should I do with the two 120mm that comes with the case, should I install one at the back and top?

About the two 140mm did u go for the Fractal or other brands?

I had a couple of 140mm Fractal fans left from a pair of Define R5 cases (I upgraded those to Noctuas and BeQuiets), so in my Define C it was easy seeing as I had everything on hand already.

You could put the two 120mm fans in back and top, or install just one and keep the other in case you find that one exhaust fan doesn't dissipate enough heat.

If you need to buy two 120mm fans for the front anyway, you might as well get 140mm ones.  Two of those will make less noise than three 120s and provide roughly the same amount of air to the main section of the case.

Have you tried just using the stock case fans first? The included GP-12 X2's are pretty good already and should be plenty already.
