Help with cpu choice

I am looking to game. I already have the B450 motherboard and I can't decide if I want to go with the ryzen 5 2600 and buy a 30 euro cooler like the GAMMAXX 400 and overclock or should I go with the 2600X and look to overclock a little with the stock cooler. In both cases (after shipping) the price is the same. What do you guys think I should go with?

You won't really need to OC the 2600X so I'd go for that. You can squeeze out a bit more with the stock cooler without too much trouble.

2600x then. You'd want that downdraft cooler to blow the VRM heatsinks a little.

Might want to try to overclock those. 2400 is rather slow for Ryzen in general, but especially with Ryzen 2 being rated for 2933.

Most kits do 2666 no problem without any adjustments, you might be able to bump it up higher, at the expense of latency. You'll have to try for a bit.
