New Huawei p20 charges real slow

I just recently got a Huawei P20 free from my carrier (for free) new inbox) and for some reason it charges real slow for 10 min with me using it only gets prob %1 of charge or if im lucky 2% sometimes it does not add to thr battery and stays where it was and leaving it without me chsrging it from 25 to 100% it takes 2 hours so what should i do (device is 3 days old)

25 to 100% for 2 hours is not that bad but if you think it's underperforming then get a faster chaRGER.

What charger? What cable?

You need a 2.0amp or 1.0 amp charger for some proper speed.

A 0.5amp and below will be SLOW. My Note won't charge when in use on anything below a 0.5amp (But thankfully I have a couple of 2.0 fast chargers, and one that came with it).

Also what do you mean "use". A game and or streaming, pushing the screen + wifi+ data + cpu + sound + gaming etc will use a lot of power.
