I'm a budget gamer who is building a PC for the first time.I've been watching Vids for 2 weeks so I'm still a newbie. Is this too much bottleneck? I want to play : GTA V, Metal gear solid 5, Watchdogs 2, fifa 18 and csgo. With this pc build should I only play cpu bound games?

CAN I TRUST THIS :  https://www.reddit.com/r/Amd/comments/83htpq/update_gaming_on_amd_ryzen_5_2400g_vega_11_gaming/?utm_source=amp&utm_medium=comment_list

Can i put a micro atx motherboard on a mid tower atx case? Can i use ddr3 ram on this setup. Can i overclock with this setup? Im going to buy a gpu about 3-4 months after i finish my PC.Will i do too much damage to my PC due to bottlenecking?

Thanks for helping a rookie like me.

I don't see any bottlenecks. I don't think bottleneck is the right term  here, more like does you build meet the minimum spec required for these games. Which would be a "Maybe". You'll have to play on Low-Med settings on those listed esp watch dogs 2.

Yea, you can put the itx board in an atx case, it would look super weird though.

No ddr3, ryzen only supports ddr4.

No, you'll need a b350/b450 to overclock ryzen.

Ryzen 5 1600 @ 3.9 Ghz  | Gigabyte AB350M Gaming 3 |  PaliT GTX 1050Ti  |  8gb Kingston HyperX Fury @ 2933 Mhz  |  Corsair CX550m  |  1 TB WD Blue HDD

Inside some old case I found lying around.

What is the GPU?

1) Do you mean that you will buy the r5 2400g and use the build in gpu?

2) That motherboard is garbage, get atleast a b350 (b450 would be better) motherboard

3) No you cant use ddr3 with ryzen, also make sure to get 2x4gb ram, not a single 8gb

4) No such thing as bottleneck (except that motherboard, that is a bottleneck)

5) No overclocking if you get a320 motherboard, so b450 is strongly recommended.

6) Yes if the case supports it, you can but matx board in there.

7) Please use pcpartpicker.com

I only see your reply if you @ me.

Furthermore, which GPU will you buy? A 2400G will bottleneck anything higher than a 1060. And no bottlenecking doesn't damage your system.

@Origami Cactus He'll be buying something in 3-4 months

#1 - Yes

#2 - No.  Put the extra money in for 2x8gb DDR4 3200, you will not regret it.

#3 - No, that requires a B350/B450/X370/X470 motherboard.

#4 - Up to GTX 1080 level of performance is what I would say is the max GPU to pair with that system for 2560x1440 resolution gaming.  For 1080p, stick to GTX 1060/RX 580 or lower (but no less than GTX 1050/RX 560).

#5 - Bottle necking just means that you are not getting full performance out of an expensive GPU.  No damage, just less than optimal performance.

Replacements :

B350 motherboard (over clocking will be posible)

2× 4gb ddr4 ram for better performance

What speed? Is any fine?

Thanks for replying to me so fast! Appreciate it!

Is this possible with the changes :

Should i stick to cpu based games till i get a dedicated graphics card? Was thinking of saving for GTX 1050 ti but before that Ill have to use the integrated gpu (or is it called apu?) Sorry Im new to all this

2x4gb is going to be very limiting with integrated graphics.  8gb is barely adequate for some of the games in that list, and the integrated graphics are going to take 1-2gb off the top of the 8 installed.  This will leave you with ~6gb of usable RAM until you get a dedicated GPU.

Aim for 2933-3200 RAM, prices are not much different from 2400.

Best cpu for

Will a cpu this price and R7250 amd radeon be able to run GTA v 720p medium?

At minimum I'd pair a gtx 1050 with it to see any benefit.  You're better off using the igpu for a while.

If you want to go super cheap, get an E3-1240 or E3-1240 V2 (Only those two are LGA 1155, V3+ are not) and H61 LGA 1155 motherboard.  Pair that with 16gb of DDR3 and a GTX 770.

This will put you in the R5 2400g + GTX 1050/GTX 1050 Ti performance area for less money and with more RAM.

Okay so the PC that I'm currently building will be finished about the end of this year (Ryzen 5 2400g,using integrated graphics build)

1.Would it be a good enough plan to get that with two 4gb ddr4 and b350m motherboard then immediately start saving up for a GTX 1050 ti?

2.While I'm saving up,I should stick to cpu bound games since I'm using the low end integrated graphics. Can you recommend any open world cpu bound games? (Offline and online)

3.Can you pair a GTX 1050 ti with an AMD Ryzen 5 2400g cpu?

4.Is the Ryzen 5 2400g overclocked a good choice regarding its price and value for its price?

5.Pirate windows 10 or get Linux?

Thanks!

#1 Yes

#2 You can still play AAA titles with Vega APU, just know that it will be low settings @ 1080p 60hz

#3 Yes

#4 Depends, there are still good options on the Intel side where you could use Intel HD Graphics while waiting for GPU.

#5 Just download the Windows 10 Creators Update ISO and don't activate it, you won't beable to change personalization settings. Linux, very limited game titles.

You can get an i3-8100 for 109.99 and use that savings for a GTX 1050. An get a better single core performance than Ryzen.

Intel i3 8100 $109.99 USD https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0759FTRZL/?tag=pcpapi-20

vs

Ryzen 2400G $159.99 USD

Savings gives you $50 towards a dedicated GPU not to mention savings you get from being able to buy slower ram on Intel without performance hit.
