Hey guys, I would like to ask how does this seem to come together for gaming/some editing?

I mostly do gaming in online games (such as guild wars 2 or raiding in world of warcraft) and use my PC for editing videos and photos occasionally, sometimes maybe streaming too.

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/TPHPQZ

Also need some case suggestions, want it to be as silent as possible.

If there is a better or more recent part that I could use please let me know, thanks!

1700 is much better value since 2nd gen Ryzen didnt improve in speed nearly as much as the price difference. If you just want 2nd gen Ryzen, then get the 2700 if you will overclock yourself, or 2700x if you dont (and pay more for that). The X model goes faster at stock, but when manually overclocked they hit similar speeds.

the choice of mobo can be improved too. I prefer the Asus B450-F more than the X470 Gaming Pro as a motherboard for the price, but it depends on how much you care about overclocking and the final choice of CPU.

CPU: i7-2600K 4751MHz 1.44V (software) --> 1.47V at the back of the socket Motherboard: Asrock Z77 Extreme4 (BCLK: 103.3MHz) CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D15 RAM: Adata XPG 2x8GB DDR3 (XMP: 2133MHz 10-11-11-30 CR2, custom: 2203MHz 10-11-10-26 CR1 tRFC:230 tREFI:14000) GPU: Asus GTX 1070 Dual (Super Jetstream vbios, +70(2025-2088MHz)/+400(8.8Gbps)) SSD: Samsung 840 Pro 256GB (main boot drive), Transcend SSD370 128GB PSU: Seasonic X-660 80+ Gold Case: Antec P110 Silent, 5 intakes 1 exhaust Monitor: AOC G2460PF 1080p 144Hz (150Hz max w/ DP, 121Hz max w/ HDMI) TN panel Keyboard: Logitech G610 Orion (Cherry MX Blue) with SteelSeries Apex M260 keycaps Mouse: BenQ Zowie FK1

Model: HP Omen 17 17-an110ca CPU: i7-8750H (0.125V core & cache, 50mV SA undervolt) GPU: GTX 1060 6GB Mobile (+80/+450, 1650MHz~1750MHz 0.78V~0.85V) RAM: 8+8GB DDR4-2400 18-17-17-39 2T Storage: HP EX920 1TB PCIe x4 M.2 SSD + Crucial MX500 1TB 2.5" SATA SSD, 128GB Toshiba PCIe x2 M.2 SSD (KBG30ZMV128G) gone cooking externally, 1TB Seagate 7200RPM 2.5" HDD (ST1000LM049-2GH172) left outside Monitor: 1080p 126Hz IPS G-sync

Thanks, so which case would you go for? Something less noisy, my current one is noisy on the front.

Also, B450-F is 5$ cheaper or so from the x470

Is it a better motherboard overall?

oh , by the way, I wont assemble it due to guarantee reasons so I wont ask for overclocking due to policies.

Corsair 270R with current prices of $60.

not sure what 'guarantee' and 'policies' mean here, but anyway. 2700X does have a tendency of shoving too much voltage (safe, but quite a lot more than needed) to the CPU at stock causing high heat output, which makes MSI boards a no-no. They dont have offset voltage mode, so you cant correct this over-voltage behaviour easily.

Asus B450-F is better. Hardware side, they are similar. Asus do get better software (BIOS), looks (RGB lights) and price.

case products? You mean fans?

Thanks for the info and the suggestions, I decided to go for Corsair Carbide Spec-03 LED as it is kinda more in the price tag and the design is pretty cool too, it is corsair and has some high quality material that it is made of.

didnt recommend spec-03 because there's only 1 intake on the front, but either way enjoy it.
