No, it won't cause issues. The cooler uses a single fan header on your graphics card. 

 

I was basing the backplate heatsink modifications off of what I've seen for the similar RX480 which might be irrelevant and I'm probably mistaken. 

It's strange is that the Twin Turbo II is stated as incompatible when there doesn't seem to be any difference compared to the III's heatsink.

The most reliable resource is probably Arctic's confirmation. If they say it's compatible, assume it is without modifications or contact them directly to make sure. This goes for both the Twin Turbo III and Extreme IV.

It’s fine, I just ordered the Arctic Xtreme IV, the extra fan and size might be overkill but oh well. Hopefully it woks!

 

Arctic doesnt like like to answer their emails. I’ve emailed them countless times and no response.
