Do you play bf4 or skyrim? If so what kind of performance are you getting?

90-100 on average in BF4 Ultra

I have played skyrim on it but i didn't check fps, i didn't need to it was smooth

Okay so I sold my 7950 so I will have enough money next week fro for a 770 or 780 but I am not to sure what to get. The 770 performs about the same as the 7950 which I have no problems with but I wanted to know if the extra $100~$150 is worth it for a single 1080p monitor.

Please do not recommend an AMD card because they are over priced at the moment and I wanted to get an Nvidia shield to play casual games from my bed.

I have an AOC 21.5in ips panel but I wanted to get a second monitor in the next few months. I can not decide between a 2560 x 1080 and a 144hz monitor. 

Definitely go higher resolution. It's not worth sacrificing IPS for a high frequency TN panel imo. 

If you're going 1440p, get the 780 or a 290.

If you want to mod skyrim to crazy levels i would recommend the 780 i get like 30fps on a 660ti with my skyrim but it has like 200+ mods.
