install games twice?

don't ask why but i want to install some steam and uplay games onto a second drive whilst having them still be on my main drive, how could i do this?

It's the same thing, if the game is already installed the dependencies are already created and all you need to do is make another copy of the game files.

i know, but it isn't exactly the same, i have about 30 games i want to do this for so i wanted to copy 15 and download 15, that way 2 get done at the same time

But copying will be faster. You don't need an internet connection as it could sometimes drop out, and the copying speed is way faster than the download speed. Just select all the game folders and drag them over.

if you insist on a fresh download, you can give steam several locations it can install your game library to. i'm not sure on the specifics anymore, but there was a mod for portal 2 a while back that required similar trickery to run it alongside a stock portal 2 instance.

or just right click the game in steam => properties => local files => browse local files.
