I am currently using a Razer DeathAdder and it has had some issues making it difficult to use. and I'm not entirely satisfied with its form. I have unusually large hands and the carpal part of my hand (between the palm and wrist) is usually on my mousepad due to the small size of the DeathAdder. I would highly appreciate some recommendations.

The length of my had from the tip of my middle finger to my wrist is ~8 in (20.3 cm).

What's your mouse grip like?  Claw?  Full palm?  If you want a large mouse, the Logitech Performance MX has been good for me.  I'm sure there's others in that same line that are large mice as well.  However, the same part on the hand will touch the mousepad even with that mouse.  I suggest you do three things potentially:

1) Buy a large mouse (obviously) that suits your grip type.

2) Get some type of wrist pad for your mousing hand to force your hand off the mousepad surface

3) Potentially slide your hand where the second section of your finger is handling mouse clicks rather than your fingertips.

But yeah...the Performance MX has been a very comfortable mouse for me with my full hand grip type...unsure how it would feel with a claw grip.  Master MX would probably work too, but if you use a full palm grip, you want a large contoured mouse.  Or just switch to a trackball mouse.

I'm not exactly sure what type of "grip" I use... and I appreciate the recommendation - however on the Logitech Performance MX's side buttons do not seem to be very accessible and I use them for keybinds in many games.

You know, honestly I've never really found a 'comfortable' mouse with a bunch of easy to use side buttons.  I use a G900 at home for gaming, it works pretty well.  It's not as comfortable as the Performance MX though because it's more narrow and doesn't have as much as a hump.  Maybe the Corsair M95 or Logitech G502?   I just don't think you're get something made for large hands with palm grip as the Deathadder or the Logitech Performance or Master MX units.
