I got braided PSU cables and decided to switch everything out I shut down the computer turned off the power supply unplugged it then went to work, as soon as I got done next thing you know is that my SSD become frozen, so I had to reinstall Windows to get going again. Then I went to go look at my documents and realized my hard drives aren’t in there I checked my bios and neither one of them are ether I checked my disc management and tried to see if I need to allocate it but nothing was there ether I switch the SATA cable and put it into a new port I even used the original psu SATA cables to ensure the best result but still the only drive that’s been detected is my SSD

when you reinstalled windows did you erase the drives or format or remove their partitions?

do the drives work in another machine?

I am not exactly sure on what you mean when you state that the SSD is frozen, is it not being detected or it there another type of issue?

Although if you have resolved the issue that you were having through reformatting the drive then the only issue would be on the HDD which is not being detected. Check to make sure that your hard drive is connected properly and has not failed and on another system using a deep scanning software to possibly have the drive recognized by the software where you would be then able to get it back working. The cables that are connecting the HDD could be an issue also so I would try using the drives with connection cable for power (only if it does not spin up) and/or data (most likely needing to be changed). Did you use special software when you reformatted and on that software is there an option which basically wipes the drive fully including its firmware and everything on it completely so that it will be very difficult for recovering? If this is present then I would immediately power down the drive and send it to a data recovery specialist to recover the data off the drive and possibly repair the drive so that it would be able to work again although if it was written over and over again with new data by a potential formation software then that may be a challenge. If you are suspecting that that could have happened I would not try doing anything else on the drive as that makes the change of data recovery even lower. If the SSD works and if you used the same treatment ten I would think that something has gone corrupt so the drive is not being recognized and if there is any important information, I personally would not take the risk of causing more damage to the stored data and get it to data recovery.

Hope that this helped, @Boomwebsearch
