What OC settings are suitable for my rig (on AMD Overdrive or MSI Afterburner)

Hi guys,

 

I've got an FX-8300 (3.3 GHz) to OC. I'm getting a cooler master hyper 212 evo, 500W PSU bronze rated, a 78LMT-USB3 R2 motherboard (for FX and socket AM3+) and 8GB of DDR3 RAM @ 1600 MHz.

I haven't got the cooler yet, but if there is another budget cooler that's better, I am welcome to recommendations. I am posting this thread in preparation if that is ok.

 

I don't want to overdo it, maybe a max of 4.0 GHz really, but if I can't reach that, what core multiplier and voltage do you recommend? I am new to overclocking, so I'm not too sure yet.
