Removing power button LED from FP MOBO connector

I have NZXT h700 and ASUS ROG STRIX Z370-F Gaming. Everything is fine, except for the fact that the power button has such an aggressively strong LED which blinks even when the PC's in sleep mode. Since the Front Panel connector is in a form of a block which I just plugged in the motherboard, is there a way to remove HDD LED and power button LED wires?

You can cut the wire off, but that will make it difficult to use later on if you decide to.

You could get 2.54mm male to female extensions and exclude the LEDs.

Something like this.

Just search for male to female dupont and you'll find a million of them if you don't want to use that site.
