Upgrade or do a temp fix.

So as of late my gpu fan has been making noise and it seems to be the bearings. When under load they start to whistle. I have a gtx 960 sc mini. And i was wondering if i should just upgrade or attempt to get this fixed.

If youre a heavy gpu user (Games, rendering etc) I'd just look at a new card. Shipping to rma it will cost like 1/5 of what you could spend on a new one

So...why did you want to know if you should get it fixed or upgrade... 

 

Anyhow, so long as the fans still spin it's mainly a noise issue.

Since you don't have money to upgrade then repair it yourself.

 

Remove the fan(s) and get yourself a 120mm fan and use tie raps to fix it to the card. 

Connect the fan to your PSU or mainboard, not the gpu card.  Depending on what fan you buy it'll  cost you like 5-30 bucks.
