I'm guaranteed to get a relatively good computer in middle of October, therefore my setup is pretty crappy, can't run the simplest of games smoothly. So I'm currently searching for peripherals.

I had a thread about picking up a relatively good budget Headset(HS50) and in that thread I said I'll order it. But yesterday, I typed on a Mechanical Keyboard for the first time(Razer Keyboards) and It felt pretty fantastic! I have a hobby of writing fictions and my training work consist of being able to type out cohesive papers to attract customers or partnerships.

I'm indecisive, I've read a lot of threads and comments about picking up a Headset first, which I understand, I want to personally improve my English and Chinese by talking to my friends on discord. But the feeling of a Mechanical Keyboard is dope as hell.

So basically for Headset -Improve languages/good music- Negative:My friends are too busy for Voice Chat. I have a pretty good earbuds(been using earbuds for 5 years). I don't have good enough computer to fully utilize and feel the game features.

And for Keyboard -The feelings of typing comfortably- Negative:The sounds of clicking and sleeping in the same room as little brother does not go well together. I don't know the difference between switches, so the Razer Switch might be unique. I don't know what switch to pick, Brown sounds quiet but does it feel the same as Blue/Green? Is Blue Switches really that loud? What's the difference between Gateron and Cherry MX?

blue switches are indeed loud... but they are very satisfying to type on (been using one for 3 years)

my friends does not like to be in my room when im gaming on my cherry blues though...

no brown does not feel like blue, not at all, not the slightest

the tactile feel is way up top and it's quite plastic-y feeling than a satisfying click (tested brown on my friend's corsair k70)

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

If someone else is in same room needing low noise level, that's something mechanical switches don't go well with:

Having hard pieces of plastics hitting each others (both down and upstroke) tends to generate noise very easily.

And with purposely added extra noise effect MX Blue and its variations/copies remind me about mechanical typewriters.

There are very few mechanical switches, which pay any attention to minimizing noise.

(Topre has smooth noise profile from its design)
