Hotswapping

I have a CM Storm Trooper case, which comes with a 2.5 hot swap port on it.

 

I was going to buy a 128GB SSD and was wondering can I just slot it into the hot swap and keep it there?

 

I will never use the hotswap feature so instead of buying a rack I thought this would be an easier option.

Should be ok but you need to connect hot swap SATA cable to mobo slot anyway. Some SSDs, like Kingston HyperX, ship with bracket anyway. If that is what you mean. Personally I prefer it inside case where I don't accidentaly disconnect it.
