2. i think the rig is pretty ok balanced but needs some upgrades. Idd start with a ryzen and 8GB ram and later when the new GPUs are out upgrade that

Not sure if this is a troll post or not.

If not in your case your entire setup is pretty much EOL (End of Life) so you should consider replacing the whole system and moving to a newer platform.

I mean with your setup you could pickup a cheap 2200g, motherboard, psu, case, 8gb of ram... and completely smoke your old system in both cpu and gpu performance with the onboard graphics of the 2200g.

The bottleneck is... everything. That system is unusably old

He doesn't even need the 1050ti for this. He would see about 80-90% increase in graphic performance from the 6770 to the onboard on the 2200g

If you are ok with reusing your case/ psu and older hard drives you could do it with just the ram/mobo/cpu for around $200. I would probably toss in an extra 50 for either a small ssd for the OS or for a 1-2 tb 7200rpm hdd.

Full build though you could do for maybe 350 if you just use the onboard graphics on the 2200g

Step 1 ; buy that

Step 2 ; buy another stick of RAM and a new HDD

Step 3 ; install new parts

step 4; install Windows

step 5 ; use PC

step 6; save up for GTX 1060

Yeah, that'll be a pretty good upgrade path. Your HD6770 should be able to handle Fortnite and if you want to play real games you can upgrade to a 1060 later

I know I know, I went with a hybrid drive, but the price/performance of it will be best bang for buck on his budget.

Show us a Screenshot of MSI Afterburner Graph Monitor, while you play yours tuttery Game. Then we can tell you exactly, where the bottleneck is.

But if it's stuttering, then it's most likely the CPU. it's just super old, and slow.

To test it: Reduce Resolution to the lowest you can (480x640? or even 320p, if it's available), and use LOW settings.

if your stutter does not get better, it's your CPU.
