My First Gaming PC

My Current Specs are: 

 

CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4790 CPU @ 3.60GHz (4.0GHz Turbo)

 

CPU Cooler: Noctua Premium Quality Quiet CPU Cooler NH-U9S

 

GPU: MSI GTX 1050 Ti 4G OC

 

Case: Cooler Master MasterBox Lite 5 RGB

 

Motherboard: ASUS Micro ATX DDR3 1600 LGA 1150

 

RAM: Corsair Vengeance Blue 16 GB (2x8 GB) DDR3 1600MHz

 

Monitor: Acer R240HY bidx 23.8-Inch IPS HDMI DVI VGA (1920 x 1080)

 

PSU: EVGA - 80 PLUS 600W ATX 12V/EPS 12V Power Supply - Black

 

Keyboard & Mouse: Cooler Master MasterSet MS120

 

Headset: CORSAIR VOID PRO RGB Wireless Gaming Headset

 

I was wondering if I should change my motherboard because I heard it isn't good enough for this current build. What do you guys think I should do? Thank you.

So having a Micro ATX board is fine for a i7 4790

For the CPU, yes.

 

For other expansion options, that depends. I personally don't like much smaller than full size ATX just because I like having the options to expand that ATX offers over mATX.

If you don't plan on running more than 1 or 2 expansion cards, then mATX is a good option for you.

Dont bother changing the mobo, or CPU. The first thing on the upgrade list is the GPU

Sounds like a sound choice. Unless you have a freesync display. Theb yiu might consider the Vega cards

I just ordered an Asus GTX 1070 Strix. I think it should fine in my case.
