There was an issue with settings not being correct and one needing to apply these to correct a heat problem. I discovered this when I first built the machine the temperatures were sitting 45 idle and would kick up to 95. It wouldn't crash nor would I stress it but knew it wasn't right. Found online few weeks later an adjustment was needed and low and behold temps returned to 30 - 72.

Years of searching and trying to overclock the 4790K, there has been no success in regards to getting better scores. I'm sure it's do-able but judging off benchmarks most sit at stock. Prove me wrong? :D

i heard on internet that a 4790k oc on air max is 4.6 , with my 0 skills with oc I achieveed 4,6 at less than 1,35 (I think at 1.25 ) at 60º playing  68-72º on stress test, ambient temperature on idle with 600-800rpm (depend on ambient) that is for me more beauty than any fan color , and mount design vs 212 is like night and day

I was commenting on this sorry, my go with the 4790K has been a rough one. It's not very stable to work with when trying to push limits. I have seen benchmarks of people trying to squeeze the performance out of it and there hasn't been any major squeezes.
