1070 ti random framedrops and lower than expected performance

So I own a Palit GTX 1070 ti Dual, together with an Ryzen 7 1700X on an ASUS B350-Plus and 16 GB DDR4-2400 RAM. 

PSU ist 550W

 

So my main issue are Random Framedrops from 60 FPS to 30 in GTAV 

Random stuttering in Warframe and some other games. But I can't say why they aren't happening when some big explosion happens on screen and just randomly appering. 

 

Does someone know a possible reason?

Do you have something like Afterburner installed? If yes, can you provide a screenshot of the system log.

Since you're running GTA V, you would know that the game is demanding. I have a GTX 1070 Ti myself paired with a Ryzen 5 1600 @ 3.8 GHz. I also see random frame drops in Overwatch, but that is most likely due to other apps I have running. It could be your power supply, if it's below 500 or so watts, then it could be your 8 core Ryzen sucking up energy when your 1070 Ti needs it. If you have other apps running, it could be that also.
