installing a gpu for the first time today

Well you should always uninstall the old gpu drivers first, like Intel HD or AMD drivers. Then after you install the card, you install the drivers.

Under Nvidia GPU drivers download page you need to select the 10 series cards:

This is the latest drivers for the GTX 1050TI series:

watched a few videos, have a basic idea, only thing im concerned about is if i should install the drivers now so it works without issue when i install it. im putting a evga 1050 ti into my gpu-less computer and im not sure what driver model to choose on the nvidia website because this is my first time doing this. theres no 1050 ti option. what am i missing?

*PRO TIP* neon lights do in fact make your rig faster!
