Ryzen!
Especially with the upgradeability and video editting in mind :)

Ryzen has much more power for less money when it comes to video stuff.

Allso: With intel to do a reasonable upgrade you allso will have to switch your mobo, with ryzen you can go on using it for the few next gererations of ryzen processors.

And Ryzen is cheaper and more eficient

What budget/country? what's your monitor resolution/refresh rate?

Premiere or Vegas? I'd go with Vegas if undecided so there's no monthly fee.

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

Agreed with this guy.

I was also going to go intel. However, without knowing if the new 9700 cpus will be compatible with the z370 boards I decided to go with AMD. AMD's AM4 x470 boards just came out this year and will be supported for quite sometime. Not to mention AMD has 'almost' caught up with intel in the gaming performance category. It just seems you are getting better value by going AMD, not to mention a fan comes with the amd cpu
