Hello Forums,

I'm about to purchase my new system, and I'm wanting to know about different fans.

I''v chosen Corsair SP'S and AF fans in 120mm and 140mm

As shown in this diagram:

Upon reading and researching, the AF140's only come in a quite variant unlike the 120's which have a performance and quite variant.

Reading comments and reviews on the quite version of the 120mm and the 140mm people are saying the quite version does not produce a lot of airflow compared to the performance which does not come in 140mm.

Since this case isn't so well optimized for air cooling which fans should I be buying?

What do you guys think, it would be nice if the fans were all the same. (Colored rings)

Configuration -

Top fans- H100I intake and having af120's on the other side of the radiator to push cool air down from the top. Fan on the right is also a AF120mm intake.

Rear- Exhaust (AF140)

Drive bays Intake x2 (1 120mm and 1 140mm)

Lower portion both intakes (2x 140mm)

This is also the list of parts that will be inside the build

Thanks guy!!

Agree with Helltech. Corsair fans arent that good performance fans. i would only get these fans for aesthetics reasons. I always choose performance before looks, so i would go for Noctua fans.

Triple-agreed on the Corsair fans. They really are crummy. Bitfenix Spectres are my go-to fans, because of their high air pressure in spite of being airflow optimised. It really helps when generating air flow through mesh (which is what? Every case ever?)

In case the moderators do not ban me as requested, this is a notice that I have left and am not coming back.

I was mainly going to purchase the Corsair fans for aesthetics.

@NihKiller I understand that those fans are one of the best, but I would never use them in my computer because of the color.

@That Norwegian Guy : Are these the fans you are talking about http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=9_598&products_id=20747

Bitfenix has two variants are PWM and a non PWM.

The PWM one is a lot louder than the non PWN. That shouldn't be a problem though, since I can use Corsair Link to control them.

I say go for Cougar Vortex fans.

They move a decent amount of air and are very quiet.

The Bitfenix Spectre Pro fans are a good choice for fans.

I'v decided to choose the Bitfenix fans over the Corsair ones. The Bitfenix fans seem to have great airflow specs.

Thanks everyone

If anyone else has any more fan suggests please comment.
