[DEBATE] 21:9 Standard

VicciVicVic

Post your opinions on this: Will 21:9 ever become the standard aspect ratio or are we gonna stick to 16:9? Not just talking about monitors, but TVs, productions, etc, etc.

In all honesty it seems to be going that way like think about it it used to be 12:9 (4:3) now it is 16:9 so it could become 21:9 in the future considering how most movies are made in that aspect ration will it go above 21:9 I doubt it as it is already a very wide ratio. In my opinion it will be a very long time before the transfer to 21:9 if it is going to happen

No. If you think about it 21:9 is just a bigger 16:9 with some screen cut off. It's great for games and movies but not friendly for work flow

That's an F in the profile pic

16:9 is and will be the standard for a long time to come. Nearly everyone who has a monitor uses 16:9, and most content is made in 16:9. 21:9 is best for movies.
