Is there something wrong with my gpu memory?

LOST TALE

I have a new rx 580

tested with memtestCL-1.00-windows

got random block errors.

will give 100% invalid results in cryptonight. 100% is normal.

I'd just let it slide if there's no artifacts in 3D apps. old card after all.

What's the pass/fail rate? If it's like less than 1%, I'd call it a fluke and carry on.

on cyrptonight

pass rate is 0%

fail rate is 100%

on the memcl test it doesn't say.

As @Jurrunio mentioned, if there's no apparent artifacts in 3D gaming, then there's nothing really wrong with the card. If the software is supposedly checking memory and it's failing 100% of the time, then the card shouldn't even work on the desktop either. Or it should be crashing the driver constantly.

EDIT: Then again, what is a "fail" anyway?

It's a fair assumption.

I uninstalled nvidia drivers and ma d drivers.

I tried both the beta for blockchain and the normal latest amd driver.

I ran Windows Deployment Image Servicing and Management (DISM) and System File Checker (SFC) tools as Administrator

The amd software installed without error (it did once a few mintues ago so I did this).

The card is running at stock settings btw.

Considering no other test fails, we can conclude that the Random blocks test is very likely flawed:

Still it fails at mining cryptonight!

:(

If it's using the same methods that the Random blocks test is using, then it's likely going to encounter the same problem. But I don't know what it's doing, so I can't say why it's failing for certain.

looks like version 1.1 did not return errors.

Now I have to find a way to mine
