I am planning on building a computer.  I am not sure about the cpu option.  I can wait.  I have the ryzen 5 range as an option, that being the 2400g, 1600, 1600x, 2600, 2600x.  Should i get the ryzen 3 2200g and upgrade to the Zen2 architecture (possibly the r5 3600), and AMD's next graphics cards (Navi architecture)  or sohuld i just get the present 6c/12t cpu and a gtx1060 6g.  pls help

P.S. i plan of streaming games a bit.

I would not buy a GPU right now because new nVidia GPUs are coming out in a month or so. As for the CPU, 2600 or 2600x should be a great option for gaming.

Main system: Ryzen 7 7800X3D / Asus TUF Gaming B650-Plus / G.Skill Trident Z5 NEO 32GB 6000Mhz / Zotac RTX 5090 SOLID OC/ x2 WD_BLACK NS770 2TBs/ Corsair HX1000i/ NZXT H5 Flow

Although rumored pricing will put those at much higher price points than the current cards, so I'm not too sure.

PC Specs - AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D MSI B550M Mortar - 32GB Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR4-3600 @ CL16 - ASRock RX7800XT 660p 1TBGB & Crucial P5 1TB Fractal Define Mini C CM V750v2 - Windows 11 Pro

Honestly, I would pick up a 1070, 1070ti, or 1080. The mining cards are starting to be sold off in anticipation of the new cards or because the market has become less profitable. So you can snag a decent card for much less than usual. In my experience mining cards from someone who did it professionally are going to be in as good a shape or even better than one used for gaming. That is because professional miners undervolt their cards and tend to keep them in better environments.

Now are you set on going with ryzen? You can easily build a comparable intel system for a very similar price.

So i see in your signature your pc specs. How does it do with high end games like escape from tarkov, fall out 4, hunt showdown and things like that?

I can play BF1 64-player multiplayer matches with full utilization of the 1070Ti at 1440p so that counts for something. Fallout 4 is basically 60fps all the time as it breaks when you try to uncap it.

I see where y'all are coming from.  But now my question is should i get a b350 or b450 mobo?? paired with the 2600 btw.  And should I wait to get a 1160 or 2060 or just get a 1060 now?

According to the rumors, the 1160/2060 will cost $499 instead of $299 so if you can't afford that right now, then yeah, get the 1060 6GB.
