Hello all,

I am searching for a laptop to buy recently. My experience with laptop is not good so far, first one is a HP heater that left a burn area on screen, 2nd one is a sony one (with a i3 processor, i was dumb then) that wont play LOL with 30fps, 3rd one is a mac air whose os is so hard for me to use and now wont turn on anymore.

So i would like you guys to help me pick a quality one. Budget is under 1800CAD

Spec:

CPU: i5/i7

RAM: 8GB minimum

GPU: 1050 or equivolant

ssd

15 inch only and 1080p is all i need

no mac since i dont like the OS

a quality one that wont overheat like my HP laptop.

Thanks in advance!

Do not get the Asus Tuf lol.

If I rember correct, It has horrible cooling.

Your Budget can get you a lot more then you are looking for.

If you you want to stick with your options,

The Dell G series Laptops are quire nice, With 8th Gen i5/i7s and 1050/1050ti/1060MaxQ, That all fit in your budget.
But that is if you can deal with the Entry level IPS FHD screen..

Bias suggestion incoming

I just bought a Lenovo Y530, with a i7 8th gen chip, and a 1050ti 4GB, And love it!

I can play most every game, on Med to high, But if I want no fan noise, I can run them on lower settings with really no fan noise.

Plus the Laptop looks and feels much more $$$$$$ then other Gaming laptops in the prince range.

Plus it would save you some Money to upgrade the RAM / SSD ( or you can config it how you like with those pre installed)

Thank you for the input! I really want a laptop that wont overheat to become a toaster. I am not a very display picky guy. as long as its bright enough.

I just checked y530, it does look very stylish! where did you buy yours? I assume you are in canada based on ur location. i checked amazon.ca and there are not whole lot of options. does the y530 have a better display compared to the "entry level ips fhd screen"?

If you are also in Canada or the USA, You buy it right from Lenovos Website.

Keep in mid though, There are 2 options, Option 1, That I got is the one you can config to your liking.

Is the.
Lenovo Legion Y530 15"

The one you can NOT config is the Lenovo Legion Y530 - Black.

Just google Lenovo Y530 Canada if you are in Canada.

There is also a Really good deal on the laptop with $250 off, Plus you can add a coupon... Im currently getting in touch to see if they can price match it for me.

For the screen, I really do like it, As long as you dont go below 40% brightness I think it is really nice.. But I am also not a big screen person, But it is really nice to use.
