Recently I just built this computer. We have run into a few problems and cannot figure out any solutions. So the very first time we turn on the computer and while installing windows 10 for the very first time it was super fast and everything was normal. However, during this installation of windows 10 it just froze and the computer went unresponsive. We then tried to turn off the computer and turn it back on to continue installing windows. The computer was very VERY slow. It would be stuck on a grey screen for about 4 minutes and then be stuck on the motherboard bios loading screen for another few minutes.  Eventually we were able to install windows and the computer was fine, but every time we go to restart the computer the computer would take a few minutes to load. It just sits on the motherboard logo and has spinning dots. Also the 1TB hard drive is recognized in disk management but every time we try to initialize the disk we got a redundancy error. I have built many computers in the past and I've never experienced anything like this. We speed tested the SSD and it is over 500mBps in both read and write. I just don't understand why it takes so long to boot up?

What would happen if I tried clearing the cmos??

It'll reset all your BIOS settings to factory defaults. It's one of the first things people should do for seemingly odd problems unrelated to software.

I would check to make sure you have the heatsink on properly... and depending on the load being put on the CPU that cooler probably won't be sufficient anyways. If I remember correctly the H212 is only 150-180w TDP. A 8700k can EASILY break 200w TDP when boosting even more so if MCE is on.

I cleared the CMOS and the computer came on in a black screen and said "the settings have been reset" and i had to press F2 to continue and it is still taking a long time to load.
