I saw some post about floppies and had this idea. Might be stupid. Probably is, but I figured I'd check

Idea - Floppy Flash Drive

Since the circuitry in a flash drive is pretty thin, I wonder if a few flash drive innards could be hooked up together inside a casing that looks like a floppy drive and has a usb port somewhere so you would have a retro usb floppy drive?

Why though, floppy drives have very little capacity and even hooking up a few together would give you almost no storage.

A type c usb would be cool if you could make the type c male end retract into the disk

Could make it to where the usb has a cover. Then he could hide his research on their and no body would have a floppy port to see what's on it muahaha

If I had parts I could cannibalize I would totally do it. But even then... I use normal floppies more than flash drives. For reasons.

Safer storage options cause floppy disk drives are non existent? lol

I didn't even think about that really.

I just use them for all of my old skool games (and one has a few important drivers for mass storage devices on 98 tucked into a .cab + a pinout of my junky 775 board)
