Time for loop growth

Hey guys, I just wanted to know if anyone had a definite answer on how long it takes for algae to grow in a loop. I have all of my parts and distilled water, but my loop prep is going to be another couple days in the mail. Will I be fine just going ahead and filling it for the two or three days or will I get growth in that short amount of time?

It will be fine. The time it takes for algae to grow depends on many factors so there is no definite answer. The only advice I can give is to keep your loop away from direct sunlight.
