First PC Build. Need help ironing out pieces. Getting everthing from memory express.

An RX 570 is a better buy than the 1060 6GB going by pricing on the part picker.

Also the display has free-sync

Left room for tax/shipping costs, you can easily add an SSD later, X470 also gets you StoreMI for that.

If you end up with extra cash maybe get a nicer case, or just don't use a case for a while to save up for that.

Buy this cheap/effective peripheral set at $49 CAD

You can judge how it compares to the others. Low end peripherals and cases aren't my thing, but you could get higher end ones.

Preference

I'll take that as no actual reasons. In which case I suggest nicer peripherals.

The 1060 6GB does not support Freesync, so you'll either have to get a way more expensive monitor, or a higher end Nvidia card for the experience to be equivalent.

The higher end Nvidia card would be the 1070 for $520, or the 1070 Ti for $600. Either of which would put you well outside of budget.

:)

How can you have a preference when you seemingly don't know much about PC gaming?

Doesn't make any sense to spend the difference between an RX 570 and 1060 6GB for gaming.

Video Card: Asus - Radeon RX 570 4GB ROG STRIX Video Card  ($287.87 @ Amazon Canada)  vs $400 CAD

and then you also lose out on free-sync which may be useful.
