Question????

Go to solution Solved by nick name,

Can I ask why that older board was recommended? If you are concerned about hitting your RAM's advertised speed then I would encourage you to consider a X470 board instead of the older X370.

I was recommended a motherboard for my next build and i was questioning a compatibility issue the speed of my ram is 3200 and the board says it is compatible with DDR4-2133 / 2400 / 2666

will my ram work with that motherboard or will i need different motherboard

It will work, but you will have to overclock to get to DDR4-3200

Just now, kimsejin5 said:

It will probably work. If it doesn't, return it and get a different kit.

There's not really a "probably" here; it will work, just not at the stock rated speed.
