Well we don't know the specs, so it's harder to say, but there's still definitely uses. Playing old games, emulation (even a Pentium iii is quite capable of N64 emulation), NAS, router, music player, etc. I have waaaay too much fun messing with computers from the early 2000's and late 90's.

I do know that currently it has one of the pentium processors, an nvidia card (not sure which one), and only one stick of RAM, (the pc is still at another house so I cant say exactly what stuff it has), It has on CD-RW drive, one DVD drive, one 3.5 in. dd floppy drive, and a USB 1.0 slot. If that helps there

Seems about appropriate for an XP era machine, I wouldn't bet on more than a Pentium 3 with 1Gb of RAM.

Pentium 4? Those were essentially the processor for Windows XP, especially the HT models that were in practically every Media Center Edition system.

If it has 1GB it's gonna be a Pentium 4. But with only one stick I highly doubt it'll be 1GB.

I'm gonna guess........ Pentium 4! Pentium iiis didn't run XP too often iirc.

@NowhereManRun CPU-Z if you wanna know what it's got.

from my extensive experience with XP era hardware, your best bet is extremely light web browsing, youtube may be out of the question, some older games and plenty of modern light games like Hotline Miami or terraria

pic related, from a while back when i had a DIY heatsink on my mini itx 2.2ghz socket 478 system, working on finishing this project once and for all with a geforce 4 mx 420 PCI, 2gb of ram and maybe even an SSD

i looked at the computer today it has a geforce 2mx card with 512 gigs of ram. It can run sim city 3000 (the only game I have) well. I will probably add a larger stick and upgrade the hard drive soon but I am 13 so I really can't do much without my mothers permision, and I had to sweet talk her to even let me take it to our place. Also we aren't so great money wise so I'll have to pay for all of it.
